I've been in the music business for more than 30 years, performing as a DJ and MC for various functions such as wedding's and parties. During the 1980's when Roadhouses were the "in-thing" I spent several years playing music for the roadhouse crowd.
The Radio bug also took me through 16 years of broadcasting. As an on-air music host I played easy listening to top 40 to classic rock and oldies and I also served as a music director, creating the playlist for the station. |

The growth of technology has played an obvious role in music since I played my first gig in 1975. Not so long ago we had to run out to the record store to buy the latest hits; now it’s as simple as clicking a mouse. Today it seems anyone can play the role of a DJ especially with the accessibility of downloadable music files such as mp3’s and the use of a computer music program. But playing the role of DJ is not as easy as it looks, even with all the great technology available. to what you’re paying)
- Will the music you want played actually be played
- What Kind Of equipment will be used, a "good sound system" or DJ calibre equipment that brings music to LIFE
If you are not asking these questions or not getting real answers there's a substantial chance your event will fizzle. |
